1. Who We Are

Track WIP is a work-in-progress schedule tool built for specialty trade contractors. It helps you calculate earned revenue, over/under billing, and percent complete across your open jobs.

For privacy questions, contact us at trackwip.com/contact.

2. What Data We Collect

Account data (from Google Sign-In)

When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, full name, and profile picture URL from Google. This information is stored in our authentication database (Supabase) to identify your account.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically collects standard server log data: your IP address, browser and device information, and pages you visit. This is standard infrastructure logging and is not used for marketing or advertising.

Session cookies

We use a single authentication cookie to keep you signed in. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

What we do NOT collect

Your job cost data, project names, financial figures, and WIP schedule data are never sent to our servers. This data lives only in your browser session. When you close the tab, it is gone. We have no access to it, no backup of it, and no copy of it.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To authenticate you and maintain your login session
  • To identify your account across sessions
  • To respond to support requests you submit via our contact form
  • To measure whether our Google Ads campaigns result in paid subscriptions (conversion tracking only — with your consent)

We do not sell your personal information or use it for behavioral advertising or profiling. The Google Ads tag on our site measures ad performance (did a click lead to a subscription?) but does not profile you or serve you targeted ads based on your activity on Track WIP.

4. Data Sharing & Sub-Processors

5. Cookies

We use one strictly necessary authentication cookie and, with your consent, Google Ads measurement cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and opt-out instructions. The authentication cookie is required for login to work and cannot be disabled without preventing you from signing in.

6. Data Retention

Account data (email, name, profile picture) is retained while your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your account data within 30 days. Server logs are retained per Vercel's standard retention policy (typically 30 days).

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

California residents: We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.

EU/EEA residents: Our legal basis for processing your data is contract performance (authentication) and legitimate interests (infrastructure security logs). You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via our contact page.

8. Children's Privacy

Track WIP is not directed to persons under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes to this policy by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Contact
